COVID-19 Phase 1 Transition / Learning Environment Change Request

Elementary Schools:
No additional information is needed from parents if:

  • Your child attends face-to-face school full time and wishes to remain in that setting
  • Your child attends digital learning full time and wishes to remain in that setting
  • Your child is in the PreK hybrid environment and will be joining us in the 5-day, face-to-face environment.
If you wish for your child's learning environment to change prior to theOctober 26th transition date, please visit our central enrollment center to complete the needed hardship waiver. 

If you wish for your child's learning environment to change on October 26th, (from either face-to-face to digital or from digital to face-to-face) then call the school and request the change. No waiver is required for the "end of the nine-week" change. 

PreK Parents: If you wish for your child's learning environment to change on October 26th (from the new 5-day face-to-face environment to the full-time digital environment to the new face-to-face environment) call the District PreK Office at 706-965-6067 no later than October 19th. 

Middle School and High School:
No additional information is needed from parents if:
  • Your child attends face-to-face school in our hybrid environment and wishes to remain in the face-to-face, 4 day school that begins on October 26th. (This will transition to 5 days per week on November 30th.)
  • Your child attends digital learning full time and wishes to remain in that setting.
If you wish for your ochild to change their learning environment prior to the October 26th transition date, please visit our central enrollment center to complete the needed hardship waiver. 

If you wish for your child's learning environment to change on October 26th, (from either hybrid face-to-face to full-time digital or from full-time digital to full-time face-to-face) then call the school and request the change. No waiver is required for the October 26th change. 

* Please contact your child's school no later than Monday, October 19th for all change requests which are to begin on Monday, October 26th. 
**Learning environment change requests made after October 26th return to the hardship waiver process.

Elementary 
Move from digital to face-to-face school

Move from face-to-face to digital school
  Visit enrollment center to complete hardship waiver;
Requests received by noon on Thursday will be processed and ready to begin on the following Monday.
Secondary
Move from digital to hybrid (or full-time), face-to-face school

  Visit enrollment center to complete hardship waiver;
Requests received by noon on Thursday will be processed and ready to begin on the following Monday.

PreK students that are currently hybrid face-to-face but do NOT want to go full face-to-face or are full digital and want to move to full face-to-face.
  Call your child's school no later than Monday October 19th to request the change.

Lakeview Middle School is located in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia and is part of the Catoosa County Public School System. It is our mission to promote student learning through active student participation and problem solving so that students are prepared to be productive and responsible citizens.
